Aluminum Sulfate CAS#10043-01-3

                - Thermal Stability: Maintains stability up to 700°C, decomposing only at higher temperatures.
- High Solubility: Easily dissolves in water, making it versatile in various applications.
- Odorless and Non-toxic: Exhibits no odor and is safe for use in controlled environments.
- Stable and Hygroscopic: Shows consistent performance under normal conditions, though sensitive to moisture.
The substance typically appears as colorless or white crystals with no odor and a faint, candy-like taste. However, industrial-grade products, due to impurities such as iron, often exhibit a yellowish-green color and a sour taste. This compound is stable in the air and loses its crystal water when heated to 250°C.
When heated above 700°C, it begins to decompose into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor, along with other byproducts. The presence of these impurities can alter its appearance and taste, but the overall stability and thermal properties remain consistent under controlled conditions.
