p-Toluenesulfonyl hydrazide, also known as 4-methylbenzenesulfonylhydrazide, is a white crystalline powder. It is readily soluble in alkali, soluble in methanol, ethanol, and butanone, slightly soluble in water and aldehydes, and insoluble in benzene and toluene.
