Product Description of UV Absorber 326 CAS#3896-11-5

Ultraviolet absorbers are additives designed to block or significantly reduce the transmission of ultraviolet radiation. They are required to exhibit excellent thermal stability, remaining unchanged during processing, along with low volatility at elevated temperatures. These absorbers are capable of efficiently absorbing UV light, particularly in the wavelength range of 290–400 nm. They also possess strong chemical stability and do not adversely react with other components in the formulation.

In addition, ultraviolet absorbers show good compatibility with materials, allowing uniform dispersion without blooming or migration. They have high photochemical stability, resisting decomposition and discoloration under light exposure, and are colorless, non-toxic, odorless, and resistant to immersion. They are also economical and readily available.

Based on chemical structure, ultraviolet absorbers can be classified into salicylates, benzophenones, benzotriazoles, substituted acrylonitriles, triazines, and other types. When incorporated into fabrics, they provide effective UV shielding, reduce color fading, and improve the light fastness of polyester disperse dyes. UV Absorber 326 is a representative product within this category.
