Diethylenetriamine 5-methene phosphoric acid is a widely used corrosion inhibitor and descaling agent. It appears as a brown or red-brown thick liquid and is non-toxic. Its molecular formula is C9H28O15N3P5, with a relative molecular weight of 573.2. It is soluble in acidic solutions and can form a polynary ring complex with steel ions in aqueous solutions. It disperses loosely in water and inhibits the growth of calcium salt crystals, such as carbonate and sulfate scales, thereby effectively preventing scaling. It can also suppress the formation of carbonate and sulfate scales in various applications.
