Product Details

Allura Red is a dark red, uniform, odorless powder. It is soluble in water, glycerin, and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in oils and fats. When dissolved in water, it forms a slightly yellowish-red solution. It exhibits strong resistance to light and heat but has poor resistance to alkalis and redox reactions, similar to other diazo red pigments
