ALLURA RED AC CAS#25956-17-6
Strong Solubility: Easily dissolves in water, glycerin, and propylene glycol, making it versatile for various formulations.
Heat and Light Stability: Exhibits strong resistance to light and heat, maintaining color integrity in many applications.
Color Fastness: Shows excellent color retention, with distinct red hues in neutral and acidic solutions and dark red in alkaline environments.
Biological Applications: Used in antifungal formulations and treatments for various medical conditions like rhinitis and bone metabolic diseases.
Allura Red is a dark red, uniform, odorless powder. It is soluble in water, glycerin, and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in oils and fats. When dissolved in water, it forms a slightly yellowish-red solution. It exhibits strong resistance to light and heat but has poor resistance to alkalis and redox reactions, similar to other diazo red pigments.
Allura Red shows good stability in aqueous solutions containing sulfur dioxide or hydrogen ions at pH levels of 3 or higher. It has strong color fastness, appearing red in neutral and acidic solutions and dark red in alkaline environments.
