Product Details

Triphenylphosphine, with the molecular formula C₁₈H₁₅P and a molecular weight of 262.30, is a white to off-white crystalline powder. It is readily soluble in ether and also dissolves well in benzene, chloroform, and glacial acetic acid, but shows only slight solubility in ethanol and is almost insoluble in water. It has a melting point ranging from 78.5 to 81.5 °C and a boiling point exceeding 360 °C when measured under inert gas conditions.
